William Marshall was one of the most important potters at the Leach Pottery, and is reported to have thrown many of Bernard Leach's pieces during his years there.
This mug has great proportions and a wonderful blend of a creamy grey glaze with glossy brown. It bears William Marshalls mark to the base of the handle, as shown.
Measures 2 6/8 inches high, and 3 inches across excluding handle.
Condition: Excellent, fine firing crack to the base, no chips or cracks.
